Was a starter in the Cowboy offensive line after taking over starting duties during the second half of the 2011 season ... An agile athlete ... A three-time academic All-Big 12 honoree ... One of several Cowboys who became multi-year starters after being overlooked by many schools during the recruiting process ... Played guard and tackle for the Cowboys.
2013 (Senior): Started every game on the offensive line ... Started the first five games of season at left tackle ... Moved to right guard for the final eight games of the season, igniting a vastly improved running game up the middle for the Cowboys ... Did not allow a sack all season and received the coach's offensive line MVP recognition for half of the games ... Credited with 16 knockdown blocks on the year, including three each against Iowa State, Texas Tech, Texas and Baylor ... Tallied four domination blocks, including three against Baylor.
2012 (Junior): Started every game ... Eleven of his starts came at left tackle, but he opened the Texas Tech and Baylor games at right tackle ... Played 97 snaps at Arizona and had 6.5 knock-down blocks against the Wildcats ... Had seven knock-down blocks against Louisiana and four at Oklahoma ... Based on coaches' grades, his best games were against two of the best teams on the schedule (at Kansas State and at Oklahoma) ... 2011 (Sophomore): Began the season with promise and no experience ... Ended the season with five starts, including a start in the season finale against Oklahoma and in the Fiesta Bowl at right tackle ... Had four knockdown blocks against Texas and Texas Tech ...
