Another big storyline for 2012 ... Began the season as the third-team quarterback and ended the season by starting the final five games and being named Most Valuable Player of the Heart Of Dallas Bowl.
2012 (Junior): Played briefly against Savannah State in the season opener, hitting two of his five pass attempts for nine yards, including a touchdown ... Was 2-of-3 against Louisiana, again in mop-up duty, with 42 yards and a touchdown ... Had an interception in that game as well ... Season took a big turn at Kansas State when he came off the bench in relief of an injured Wes Lunt against the second-ranked Wildcats ... Was 16-of-27 for 233 yards with a touchdown and interception, to go with 33 rushing yards, as he rallied the Cowboys to within striking distance of K-State ... His first career start came the next week when he passed for 292 yards and four touchdowns in a 55-34 win over West Virginia ... Rushed for 33 yards and completed 11 passes against Texas Tech ... Those completions covered 229 yards with three touchdowns, in an easy OSU win ... Had another strong game at Oklahoma with 253 passing yards and 63 rushing yards as he led OSU to its highest point total ever against the Sooners (48) ... Had a 38-yard run against OU to set up a score ... Hit Josh Stewart for a 75-yard TD as well ... In the regular-season finale at Baylor he passed for 332 yards and two touchdowns for the first 300-yard game of his career ... Had TD passes to Josh Stewart and David Glidden against the Bears ... Was sharp in the bowl game, going 17-of-22 through the air for 197 yards with three TDs ... Long pass of the game was a 27-yard scoring strike to Isaiah Anderson ... 2011 (Sophomore): Saw action in four games ... Was 4-of-4 passing for 70 yards and a touchdown against Louisiana ... Played against Tulsa but did not attempt a pass ... Saw the most action of his career when he played more than a half in the win over Kansas ... Completed 14 of his 21 attempts for 206 yards and two touchdowns ...Went 2-of-4 for 31 yards in the win at Texas Tech.
2010 (Freshman): Saw action in five games ... Was 8-of-11 for 165 yards with two touchdowns vs. Tulsa ... Scoring passes covered 10 yards to Hubert Anyiam and 27 yards to Charlie Moore ... Was 4-of-5 through the air against Washington State for 29 yards ... Was 0-of-1 passing against Baylor ... Also played at Kansas and against Arizona.
