Student-Ticket Distribution to Have New Look

STILLWATER, Okla. -- OSU's student men's basketball ticket distribution will be a faster, more efficient operation this season, and students will have their choice of two eight-game packages.

In the past, tickets were allotted through a computer lottery system. But under the new system, developed last spring by the Student Athletic Advisory Council and approved by the Student Government Association, tickets will be awarded to All-Sports Ticket-holders on a first-come, first-served basis.

Students with All-Sports Tickets may buy their men's basketball ticket packages Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 4 and 5, from 2-10 p.m. at the All-Sports Ticket readers on the north side of Lewis Field. As many tickets as possible will be sold Tuesday; if any tickets remain, they will be sold Wednesday.

Not included in the two half-season student ticket packages are December games against Jackson State and Arkansas State, which occur during Winter Break, and the Dec. 10 game against Arizona State at the Myriad in Oklahoma City. Tickets for that game will go on sale next month.

Students with questions about the new ticket distribution may call the OSU Athletic Promotions Office at 744-3852. Here's a rundown of the games available on each ticket package:
