Cowboy defense stymies Razorbacks, 71-45

Victor Williams made eight of 13 shots and led Oklahoma State with 22 points as the Cowboys beat Arkansas 71-45 Monday night.

Williams also was 4-for-6 on 3-point attempts. Tony Allen added 14 points and Ivan McFarlin 11 for the Cowboys (9-1). Melvin Sanders had nine rebounds.

Alonzo Lane led Arkansas (5-5) with 10 points.

The Cowboys held Arkansas to 32.7-percent shooting from the field and just 7.7 percent on 3-pointers. Oklahoma State hit 56.3 percent of its field goals and was 40 percent on 3-pointers.

The Cowboys outrebounded Arkansas 34-33.
