Oklahoma State signee Phil Forte scored 18 points in the final round and won the National High School 3-Point Championship Friday night during Final Four weekend.
Forte scored 19 points during the first round of the eight-man competition, advancing to the semifinals. He scored 18 points in the semis to advance to the finals.
Forte went first in the finals, and hit four of the five balls in the final rack of the championship round, including the multi-colored "money ball", worth two points. It ended up being the deciding factor, as he defeated Creighton signee Isaiah Zierden, who scored 17 points in the finals, but missed his last shot and lost by one point.
Forte is the second-straight Cowboy signee to win the competition, as Cezar Guerrero was last year's champion in the inaugural edition of the competition.
