Cowboys Move Up to No. 14 in Both Polls

Feb. 18, 2013

Stillwater, Okla. — Oklahoma State's Cowboy Basketball team moved up two spots in the Associated Press poll and three spots in the USA Today Coaches poll to 14th, marking OSU's highest ranking since 2007.

Oklahoma State was ranked as high as 15th earlier this season by the AP after the Cowboys won the Puerto Rico Tip-Off and started the season 5-0. The current ranking is the highest since Jan. 29, 2007, when OSU was ranked No. 12 in the Associated Press poll and No. 14 in the Coaches poll.

Oklahoma State has been ranked in 10 of the 16 weekly rankings this season, including seven-straight weeks from Nov. 19-Dec. 31 and the current three-week string. The Cowboys host ninth-ranked Kansas on Wednesday, Feb. 20, at 8 pm. It will mark the first time since March 6, 2004, that two top-15 teams played each other inside Gallagher-Iba Arena.
