• was selected first-team All-State for Class AAA as a senior by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
• was also named All-Bi-City team as both a junior and senior by the Columbus (Ga.) Ledger-Enquirer.
• averaged 15 points, 12.3 rebounds and 5.3 blocked shots per game as a senior.
• was named all-region as a junior when he averaged 17 points, 14 rebounds and five blocked shots.
• a consensus three-star center nationally.
• ranked as the No. 14 center prospect in the country by ESPNU.
• scored nine points, grabbed 10 rebounds and had seven blocked shots in 25 minutes in a game vs. God's Academy of Dallas played in Gallagher-Iba Arena on Feb. 13, 2009.
• scored a game-high 18 points in the Herbert Green High School All-Star Classic.

Personal
Born May 2, 1991, Torin is the son of Cynthia and Harry Hester. He has a younger sister, Tiara. He enjoys hanging out with friends and playing video games in his spare time. Torin is contemplating a major in sports medicine at Oklahoma State.
