2008-09 (Sophomore season)
• a walk-on to the Cowboy Basketball program, he was classified as a sophomore in his third year at Oklahoma State.
• saw action in three games for the Cowboys, including three minutes against Mercer.
High School
• lettered three years for coach Shane Cowherd at Edmond Memorial High School.
• was team captain his senior season.
• averaged seven points, 5.8 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game.
• led Class 6A in assists his senior year.
• was selected to the Jim Thorpe game.
• was a member of the academic team state champions in 2008.
• also played golf as a freshman and sophomore.
Personal
Born January 13, 1989, Garrett is the son of Randy and Trish Thomas, both OSU graduates. He has two younger brothers, Logan and Jordan. Garrett is a member of the Phi Gamma Delta (Fiji) fraternity, and is a member of the Orange Peel committee, the Young Republicans club, the Pre-Law Club and STAT (Students Today, Alumni Tomorrow). He is majoring in sports management at Oklahoma State.
