• played 32 games for coach Josh Newman at Arkansas-Fort Smith, averaging 6.6 points and 4.7 rebounds per game.
• shot 55.7 percent from the floor, connecting on 83-of-149 shot attempts.
• made 46-of-75 (61.3 percent) shots from the free-throw line.
• was also recruited by Baylor, Kansas State, Indiana, Saint Louis and UAB out of junior college.

Born August 18, 1989, Malcoln is the son of Carla and Malcoln Kirkland, Sr. He has a younger sister, Alexia. Malcoln enjoys playing video games and sports in his free time. He is contemplating a degree in sports management from Oklahoma State.
