2008-09 (Freshman season)
• played in five games for the Cowboys, averaging just under four minutes per appearance.
• was declared eligible by the NCAA on Dec. 2 and was then able to practice with the Cowboys.
• played his first collegiate game two weeks later when he saw five minutes of action against Mercer, scoring two points and grabbing two rebounds against the Bears.
High School
• played the 2007-08 season for coach Dan Barto at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.
• averaged 21 points, 15 rebounds and seven blocked shots per game.
• was rated the 42nd-best center in the country by ESPN.com and the 60th-best power forward by Scout.com.
• attended Our Savior American in Centereach, N.Y. prior to IMG.
• also attended African Hope Learning Center in Cairo, Egypt.
• chose Oklahoma State after originally enrolling at South Florida. Had chosen the Bulls over West Virginia, Indiana and Kentucky.
Personal
Born June 21, 1989, Teeng is the son of Ceci and Seul Akol. He has three sisters and one brother, who now all live in Egypt. He enjoys spending his free time hanging out with friends. Teeng is majoring in education at Oklahoma State.
