Tulsa, Okla. -- Oklahoma State's baseball team scored a run in the bottom of the eighth inning to defeat Arkansas 6-5 tonight at Drillers Stadium in Tulsa, Okla.
Oklahoma State took an early lead in the game, scoring a run in the third inning as Zac Cazzelle walked and scored on an error by the Razorbacks' third baseman.
In the fourth inning, Luke Scott led off with a single up the middle. Bollig was issued a walk, and Kraft hit a double that scored Scott. Cazzelle's single scored both Kraft and Bollig, giving the Cowboys a 4-0 lead.
Arkansas (21-25) took the lead in the sixth inning, scoring five runs on five hits, including a three-run homer by Kyle Washburn.
Oklahoma State tied the game in the bottom of the sixth as reliever Josh Merryman walked four batters in the inning, plating Scott.
Ali Modami led off eighth the inning with a walk for Oklahoma State (33-13). Jake Bollig also drew a walk, and pinch runner Wyatt Stanfield advanced to second base. Stanfield reached third on a fly out to center field by Brian Kraft and scored the go ahead run on Zach Cates' double.
Scott led the Cowboys offensively, going 2-for-4 and scoring two runs. Cazzelle was 1-for-1 with two RBIs and a run scored.
Freshman Joe Weaver picked up his fifth win of the season for the Cowboys, working 3.2 shutout innings and only allowing three hits.
The Cowboys will be back in action this weekend as they host Big 12 Conference rival Baylor at Allie P. Reynolds stadium. First pitch is set for 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. on Sunday.
