Oklahoma State will step out of conference for a two-game series against Arkansas State starting on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
The time for tomorrow's game has been moved up from 6 p.m. to 4 p.m. due to expected cold weather conditions at night. The teams will play the second game of the series at 2 p.m. on Wednesday.
Arkansas State is 16-14 overall and 6-2 in the Sun Belt Conference after splitting a pair of games with Western Kentucky over the weekend. Senior lefthander Jon Dove (2-1, 6.84 ERA) is slated to take the mound for the Indians on Tuesday.
Oklahoma State is 21-9 and in first place in the Big 12 with a 7-2 conference ledger. The Cowboys swept Kansas State over the weekend and moved up in the national rankings after a 4-1 week. OSU is No. 17 in Collegiate Baseball, No. 22 in Baseball America and No. 25 in the Sports Weekly/ESPN Coaches Poll.
The Pokes will send junior right hander Jimmy Rhodes (1-1, 6.41 ERA) to the mound on Tuesday and junior southpaw Justin Ottman (1-0, 3.52 ERA) to the mound on Wednesday.
After the two midweek games against Arkansas State the Cowboys will be back in Big 12 play this weekend when Baylor comes to town. The Bears are 23-12 and 6-6 in league play after getting swept by Texas over the weekend. The first game of the three game series is set for 6 p.m. on Friday.
