Cole Gordon joined the Oklahoma State staff in July of 2011 and is in his first season as a volunteer assistant coach for the Cowboys. Gordon will work primarily with the Cowboy catchers.

Gordon came to Oklahoma State after spending the 2011 season as the recruiting coordinator and hitting coach at Northeast Texas Community College in Mount Pleasant, Texas.

Prior to his time at Northeast Texas, Gordon spent three years at Neosho County Community College in Chanute, Kan. where he served as the recruiting coordinator and hitting coach. During Gordon's tenure, the Panthers' offensive numbers and win totals increased each season.

Gordon also served as an associate scout for the Minnesota Twins and San Diego Padres from 2008 to 2011.

Gordon's coaching career began as a graduate assistant at Arkansas in 2007. During the summer of 2008, he served as the hitting coach for the Thunder Bay Border Cats of the Northwoods Collegiate Summer League, helping them to the 2008 championship.

Gordon graduated from Mississippi Valley State University in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in mass communications. He completed his Master's degree in 2010 at Fort Hays State University in health and human performance with an emphasis in sports administration.
