2013-14: Won his first NCAA individual title when he recorded a 13-4 major decision victory over No. 9 Dylan Ness of Minnesota in the NCAA Championship 157-pound final ... Also earned a technical fall and a fall in NCAA competition ... Defeated four ranked opponents at the tourney en route to his title ... Finished his 2013-14 campaign with a 32-1 record ... Was 10-1 on the season against ranked opponents ... Picked up his second conference title at 157 pounds, pinning Tim Wheeling of WVU in 48 seconds in the semifinals before defeating No. 19 Justin DeAngelis of OU, 8-3, in the finals ... Opened the season with a 26-second fall over Logan Keith in the dual vs. Bucknell ... Won the Joe Parisi Open, picking up four wins by fall en route to the title ... Earned his first Southern Scuffle title, defeating No. 9 Ian Miller of Kent State in a tiebreaker in the 157-pound finals ... Summer, 2013: Secured a spot on the U.S. Junior World Team at 74 kilograms for the second consecutive year, snatching three technical falls and a win in a best-of-three finals series ... Represented the United States at the Junior World Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria, where he earned a technical fall and a pin en route to taking home the silver ... Fell to Russian Alan Zaseev in the 74 kilo finals.
2012-2013: Became one of five freshman at the 2013 NCAA Championships to earn All-American status, finishing in third place after pinning Northern Iowa's David Bonin in 1:39 ... Also earned three major decisions at the tourney ... Picked up his first Big 12 title, defeating Matt Lester with an 11-3 major decision ... Compiled a 35-3 record, including a 18-1 dual record ... Of his 35 wins, 23 came with bonus points ... Led the team in wins by major decision with 13 ... Picked up eight wins over ranked opponents, highlighted by a weekend of upsets over No. 12 Andy McCulley of Wyoming and No. 9 Matt Lester of Oklahoma ... Summer, 2012: Represented the United States at FILA Junior Freestyle World Championships in Pattaya, Thailand ... Pinned his first opponent just 24 seconds into the bout, but was eliminated in the second-round by 2011 junior world silver medalist Abdulkadir Ozmen of Turkey.
2011-12 (Redshirt Year): Redshirted his first year at Oklahoma State and put together a 17-1 record in open tournaments ... Won the 157-pound brackets at the Fort Hays State Open, Roger Denker Open and MVC Open ... Recorded nine bonus-point wins, including seven falls and two major decisions ... Pinned four of his five opponents at the Denker Open, including his fastest fall of the year over Steven Ross of Southern Illinois-Edwardsville in just 50 seconds.
High School: Attended Port Washington HS in Port Washington, Wis., where he was coached by Angelo LaRossa ... Won the Wisconsin high school championship in 2007 at 103 pounds and in 2009 at 140 pounds ... Placed second in 2008 at 125 pounds ...
