- Kansas State broke open a tied ballgame with 7 minutes to play with a 10-2 run that OSU was never able to catch up from. Barry Brown led the Wildcats with 38 points, which is the most points an opponent has scored against OSU this season.

- OSU used a 10-1 run midway through the first half to take a 34-33 lead into the locker room. The Cowboys are now 8-2 when leading at the break.
- Thomas Dziagwa made two free throws to push him to 9-9 on the season. He is now a perfect 19-of-19 from the free throw line in his career.
- Mitchell Solomon is among the Big 12's best in rebounding. He got double-digit rebounds for the fourth time in his career, with three of them coming on the offensive glass.
- Solomon passed Marcus Dove in the Cowboy record books with his two blocks. He is now 5th in OSU history in career blocks in Big 12 games with 54.
- The Cowboys move to 11-5 and 1-3 in Big 12 play. The Wildcats now lead the overall series 80-53. Kansas State holds a 40-16 edge in Manhattan. This was the first loss for the Cowboys against an unranked opponent this season.
- OSU has made at least one three-pointer in 563 consecutive games dating back to Jan. 13, 2001, which is the 24th longest current streak in college basketball.
