August 27, 2017 | General
STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State gameday experience has received a boost with the addition of Les Thomas on the MidFirst Mic this season.
A devoted OSU fan, his is a familiar voice to the Cowboy football team, as he has done pre-game chapel services for the team for the last two seasons.
"I love Oklahoma State and this is a great opportunity for me to do something that I'm passionate about," Thomas said. "I can't wait to share my energy with the fans and be part of something as special as OSU Athletics."
An entertainer with experience performing in front of crowds, Thomas has written, created and produced music since 2003. In 2015, created a song dedicated to OSU Athletics called "Let's Go Pokes".
Currently serving in the Oklahoma Air National Guard, Thomas has 18 years of honorable service with the organization. He also helps serve with the Oklahoma City Police Department every summer, participating in Jammin' Hoops Fest, an event geared toward building positive relationships between the police and the community.
"We're excited to add Les to our team," said Andrea Vogt, Oklahoma State's Director of Event Presentation. "He brings tremendous energy and passion for OSU, which will be apparent from the start. Adding him, plus a pregame D.J. in the student section should create a fun atmosphere in the stadium this season."
