- A Jeffrey Carroll 3-pointer from the top of the key with 1:40 remaining tied the game at 58-58. He finished with a team and career high 18 points.
- The Cowboys have now lost eight games this season by five points or less, including five games in Big 12 play.
- Iowa State has now won the last six games in the series against Oklahoma State, but a total of 12 points have decided the last four meetings heading into today's game.
- The Cyclones are the fourth straight top 20 opponent the Cowboys have faced at home.
- The Cowboys shot just three free throws, which is the fewest of the Travis Ford era. The previous low in the Ford era was six attempts against Iowa State on Jan. 6, 2015.
- The Cowboys got out to a 10-0 lead on the Cyclones, and went into the break with a 24-22 lead. This year, OSU is 10-4 when going into the half with a lead.
