Cowgirls Take Down TCU, 80-52

STILLWATER, Okla. – Oklahoma State women's basketball defeated TCU, 80-52, to win its fourth consecutive contest on Saturday night in front of 3,609 fans inside Gallagher-Iba Arena.
For the fourth game in a row, Oklahoma State logged at least 20 assists as a team with 23 of their 32 field goals coming via the assist, including OSU's first 16 baskets.
Roddricka Patton, OSU's primary distributor, came into the contest averaging 7.5 assists per game – fourth best nationally. At the end of the first half, she had already dished out nine. Patton finished the game with 11 assists, her third-consecutive double-digit performance. She also chipped in with 9 points and 3 rebounds.
Along with Patton's passing prowess, the Cowgirls' defense swarmed TCU. In the game's first 20 minutes, OSU forced 10 turnovers and held TCU to a 12-of-29 effort from the field.
In total, OSU held TCU to 20-59 shooting (33.9 percent) during the game. Entering today, the Cowgirls ranked fourth-best nationally in team field-goal percentage defense (33.3 percent).
Kaylee Jensen was a force on both ends of the floor, leading all scorers with 24 points (10-14 FG) while grabbing nine rebounds and tying her season high with 4 blocked shots.
With 4:50 remaining in the game, Brittney Martin scored her 17th point, moving her past Donna Ridling and into the top-10 on OSU's all-time scoring list. The All-American tallied her sixth straight double-double while stuffing the stat sheet once again as she finished with 19 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, two blocks and two steals.
OSU will be back in action on Feb. 3 as the Cowgirls travel to Norman to take on Oklahoma. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. inside the Lloyd Noble Center
