Cowgirls Add Alana Simon

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's women's basketball team has signed junior college standout Alana Simon it was announced today by Cowgirl head coach Jim Littell.
"Alana is a very athletic two guard who can create her own shot," Littell said. "She is a slasher with a strong intermediate game and her ability to score and defend will position her to make an immediate impact for our program."
For Chabot (Calif.) College last season, Simon averaged 21.2 points per game while hitting 47.7 percent of her shots from the floor. Additionally, the 5-10 guard pulled 8.9 rebounds while dishing out 3.1 assists per contest.
A native of San Mateo, Calif., Simon was named a first-team Northern California All-State selection, a member of the all-state tournament team and a first-team all-conference pick.
Simon helped Chabot to a 31-3 mark, which was capped by a state title run in the program's first-ever appearance in the California Community College Athletic Association State Championship game.As a freshman, Simon averaged 11.7 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game for Seward County (Kan.) Community College en route to earning Jayhawk West All-Conference honors.
