Rob Glass introduces the core philosophies behind the program he oversees at OSU
STILLWATER -- Mike Gundy has won more games than any coach in Oklahoma State history and the OSU program has risen to new heights under his watch. There are several reasons for this, but one of the central reasons is how players develop during their time in Stillwater.
From the six NFL first-round picks that he's coached since 2009 to walk-ons who join the team for the love of the game, the love of Oklahoma State and the desire to contribute to something larger than themselves, one thing has been a constant at OSU under Mike Gundy.

Anyone who has played for Gundy at Oklahoma State will tell you about the impact that Glass and his staff have. The most interesting thing about that impact, however, is how Glass has evolved his program while keeping the core philosophy the same.
"My vision for us at Oklahoma State is to put a team together - we call it our athletic performance team - which enables our athletes to educate themselves in all the various areas they deal with and their performance levels," Glass said.
Glass said that before research expanded the field, it was basically strength movements to try to get players stronger. While strength and conditioning are still vital components, there are now more areas where he and the athletic performance team work with the Cowboys to help them reach their maximum potential.
"It may be regeneration techniques, nutritional education, the basics of developing explosive power and speed, sleep therapy or sports psychology. We've got a myriad of areas that we address where we try to work with our athletes," Glass said.
Each Wednesday in July, OKState.com will provide fans with a rare look into the athletic performance program at Oklahoma State with a multi-part series that highlights different facets of the program each week.
