Cowgirl Basketball Signs Three

Oklahoma State's women's basketball team has signed three prep standouts to National Letters of Intent it was announced today by OSU head coach Jim Littell.
Jentry Holt, Latashia Jones and Karli Wheeler all signed with the Cowgirls on Wednesday and will join the program for the 2015-16 season.
A native of Elgin, Okla., Holt was named an all-state volleyball selection this past fall after leading the Lady Owls to a second consecutive state runner-up finish. In 2012, she helped Elgin capture a state title. A 6-3 forward, Holt averaged 17.6 points and 11 rebounds per contest as a junior en route to capturing all-state honors and leading EHS to the Class 4A state tournament. Holt was rated by ESPN HoopGurlz as one of the top 20 players in the nation at her position.
A 6-2 forward, Jones was a second-team all-state selection as a sophomore and junior and was ranked as one of the top 20 forwards in the country by ESPN HoopGurlz. Additionally, she was named a first-team All-Sunflower League selection as a junior and a second-team pick as a sophomore. The Leavenworth (Kan.) High School product averaged 12 points and seven rebounds a year ago while helping the Lady Pioneers to the Kansas 5A state title.
Wheeler hails from Plainview, Texas where she averaged 15.3 points and 3.7 rebounds per contest for the Lady Bulldogs last season. The 5-7 guard was named a Texas Girls Coaches Association all-state selection for the third year in a row and has been tabbed as district MVP the past two seasons. Wheeler has helped her squad to a combined mark of 52-18 and a pair of area championships the past two years. She was also a three-year letterwinner for the PHS volleyball team.
