May 23, 2013
STILLWATER - Oklahoma State University is teaming up with the University of Oklahoma and the University of Tulsa to develop the 2013 Disaster Relief Shirt. Net proceeds from the sale of the shirts will be donated directly to the United Way to aid disaster relief and recovery efforts across the state of Oklahoma.
The design features the logos of all three schools along with text that reads "OK Together" across the chest. The shirt is available in adult and youth sizes. Shirts can be purchased for $19.95 at shop.okstate.com. A long-sleeved version of the shirt is also available online for $24.95.
Both shirts will be produced by Box Seat Clothing Company. The shirts will only be available online to help ensure the United Way realizes the greatest benefit from the sales of this one-of-a-kind t-shirt design. The OU and Tulsa online stores will also have the shirts available. Flat-rate shipping is available for only $5.99 regardless of the quantity of shirts ordered.
The United Way works with agencies such as the American Red Cross and Salvation Army that are providing much needed assistance to the affected disaster areas. Disaster relief efforts are provided free of charge and are entirely supported by financial contributions. Oklahoma State University is proud to partner with the University of Oklahoma and the University of Tulsa in assisting in the United Way's efforts to provide relief to our fellow Oklahomans.
