STILLWATER - Oklahoma State University announced today the appointment of Kevin Fite as associate athletic director for compliance.
Fite comes to OSU from the University of Houston, where he has served as associate athletic director for compliance and eligibility since February 2001. Before that, he spent more than six years at the NCAA as a student-athlete reinstatement representative and an enforcement representative.
This will be his second time at Oklahoma State. He served in academic services for student-athletes at OSU from 1991 to 1994 before leaving for his position at the NCAA.

"Kevin has both university and NCAA experience and we are pleased to have him lead ou" compliance efforts. We are glad to have him back at OSU."
The compliance officer reports directly to the OSU president and oversees all aspects of NCAA, Big 12 Conference and institutional compliance and enforcement matters for OSU athletics. The duties include student-athlete eligibility and recruiting, as well as ensuring that coaches, student-athletes, staff, alumni and boosters abide by NCAA rules and regulations.
Fite earned a bachelor's degree in history education in 1986 from the University of Northern Iowa and a master's degree in higher education from Iowa State University in 1991. A native of Ottumwa, Iowa, Fite and his wife Robbie have two children, Will, 13, and Sarah, 6.
