ADA GAMEDAY INFORMATION
ANIMALS
No pets or animals of any kind are allowed in the Gallagher-Iba Arena with the exception of trained service animals for disabled guests. All service animals must remain on a leash or in a harness at all times.
AREA OF REFUGE
The Areas of Refuge for Gallagher-Iba Arena are located on the concourse level (inside the north and south stair towers) by the elevators. These areas are marked with signage.
ELEVATORS
The elevators located in the northwest and southwest lobbies are for the general public to access the concourse level of the arena. The elevator located on the west side of the arena is for people accessing the suite level and the 4th floor. Proper credentials or suite tickets are required for use of this elevator.
EMERGENCY MEDICAL PROCEDURES
Medical and safety personnel are assigned to the arena. For assistance in any medical emergency, please contact an usher, OSU Police or OSU Safety personnel. It is extremely important that the exact location of the medical emergency is given so medical personnel know where the emergency is occurring.
ESCALATORS
The escalators are located in the middle of the east plaza. They are open to the general public to reach the concourse level.
FAMILY/SPECIAL NEEDS RESTROOMS
Family/special needs restrooms are located on the north and south ends of the concourse level. These restrooms are all wheelchair accessible.
FIRST AID ROOM
The First Aid Room is located on the south end of the concourse (Room # 316).
INCLEMENT WEATHER
Procedures have been developed for inclement weather. Information and procedures will be provided to the fans in the event of inclement weather. Emergency instructions will be delivered via the public address system and video boards.
LISTENING DEVICES (ASSISTIVE)
Listening devices are available in Gallagher-Iba Arena for fans with disability-related needs. These devices can be picked up and returned to the Gallagher-Iba Arena Ticket Office. The person picking up the listening device will need to leave their driver’s license at the ticket office. The driver’s license will be returned when the device is returned to the ticket office after the game.
PARKING-HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE PARKING
To qualify for handicap parking, you must display a valid state handicap parking permit. Handicap parking is on a first come, first serve basis. You must present your state-issued handicap parking permit upon entering the lot. The holder of the permit must be in the vehicle upon entry. A shuttle service (men’s basketball only) will be available to assist patrons from the west half of Lot 15 (south of Architecture Building) to the arena beginning 1 hour prior to the start of the game. This shuttle service will be available for the entire game. The shuttles will load and unload at the same locations. A coupon will be given to you when you enter the parking lot. This coupon will be needed to get on this shuttle. Handicap parking for women’s basketball and wrestling will be located in the northeast corner of Lot 6. RESTROOMS
Restrooms are located throughout the arena on the ground and mezzanine levels. All restrooms are wheelchair accessible.
SHUTTLE SERVICE
A shuttle service will be provided to patrons who park in Lot 15 in the designated ADA area only. The shuttle service will begin 1 hour prior to the start of the men’s basketball game only and will run throughout the event. The shuttles will load and unload at the same locations. A coupon will be given to you when you enter the parking lot. This coupon will be needed to ride on this shuttle. SPECIAL SEATING REQUIREMENTS
Fans requiring special seating, such as wheelchair and attendant seating need to contact the Ticket Office at 405/744-5745. All handicapped accessible seating is reserved and is located on the concourse for men’s and women’s basketball and wrestling. Patrons using these seats must have a ticket for these seats. If you give your tickets to someone who does not need the mobility locations, we will provide a new location for your guests. This exchange of locations can occur before the game by contacting the ticket office or at the game by your guests going to the ticket office before entering the arena.
